“Golden Ticket Air” is the brainchild of Golden Ticket founder Lex James and private aviation veteran Rod Glassford. With a family background in aviation, Lex was always keen to offer something a little bit different and tailored to the film and creative industries as he has with the other brands in Golden Ticket. “Golden Ticket Air” and now “The Flight Club” certainly offer that. Our founding members of the club all fly frequently, either in first class or by private jet and so it made perfect sense to help them save both money and the environment at the same time. With the utmost privacy and discretion and the butler level personal touches that Golden Ticket has become famous for, “Golden Ticket Air” offers a full air charter support system to the Film, Music, Fashion and Media worlds

THE FLIGHT CLUB

The idea for the Flight Club was born back in 2010 when the Icelandic ash cloud was affecting flights and people wanted to get back to the US for thanksgiving. At the time “Golden Ticket” put together a private jet to New York with producers and directors on board that had all been shooting in London. Fast forward 10 years and faced with getting back to normality from the CV19 crisis they can see the same issues and have tailored the new club around this. Many of the “Golden Ticket” clients travel private to avoid prying eyes and the hassle that comes with commercial check ins.

However, we’ve found that if they were able to travel with their peers and like minded people on our “members flights” that is not so much an issue. On the other hand, many clients that would typically fly first class are now apprehensive about flying commercial and the check in and VISA procedures that come along with this. By flying with the Golden Ticket Flight Club you not only get all the departure and arrival privileges of flying private you also know the “small” guest list of who is on your aircraft which in these uncertain times is probably one of the most important factors. Membership to The Flight Club is restricted to existing clients or by recommendation.

THE FOUNDERS

Lex and Rod have known each other for over 20 years and whilst both started out working for Lex’s father, have taken very different paths. Rod stayed in aviation and has chartered thousands of flights for VIPS and talent. Lex opted for a different career and spent 10 years on the West End stage before starting Golden Ticket in 2010. Lex’s experience in relocating and housing the A list and VIPS and Rods years of encountering every possible scenario with a jet make for a pretty impressive and trusted partnership.

Along with the team at Golden Ticket, they will assist with every aspect of your charter. They have years of experience and understand both the pace and the flexibility that these industries require.

CARBON OFFSET

All “Golden Ticket Air” and “The Flight Club” flights are Carbon Offset through an accredited scheme planting trees in the UK, a certificate will be provided for each one. When discussing private jets with the Golden Ticket family both now and in the past, Carbon Offsetting is always a requirement, and one that we whole heartedly agree with. As well as having Carbon Offsetting built in to the cost of the charter, “The Flight Club” also allows the members to further reduce their footprint by effectively sharing aircraft; offering spare seats to other members either gratis or for

a contribution to the charter cost, thus reducing the need for additional charter flights or airline tickets. We have chosen a UK based tree planning Carbon Offset scheme so we can effectively see the results of the investment and hopefully, in the not too distant future, we will have our very own Golden Ticket tree planting scheme to tell you about. We can of course strip out the cost of Carbon Offsetting if specifically requested, however at around only 1-2% of the charter cost, we feel it’s a small price to pay.
